NTU vs ITE Combined
KO 7.45 pm
Red Black Black
Be ready by 7 pm as there is a briefing before the match.
Few things to take note:
There is no need to remind anyone of the defeat we suffered last thursday. However, I feel it is imperative for me to share some of the details of our(me and kennard) post match discussion with coach.
1. First of all, Coach was extremely disappointed with us. He said we did not look like a team but instead 11 individuals. Home United basically beat us just by doing what we did not do, work as a team. They pressed us together and that led to countless individual mistakes which culminated in 3 quick goals that sealed our fate.
2. Secondly, we failed to deliver the only philosophy Coach wanted us to follow since day one, keep possession of the ball. No more than 5 passes were made in the first half, although it was slightly better the start of the 2nd half, we just went back to throwing the ball away after getting the 2-1 lead. In this sense, it is quite similar to say that we have been training for nothing. All trainings, there is always emphasis on keeping the ball, and to be fair to us, we can do it well in training but during games, it just doesnt happen for us for some reason.
Keep the points above in mind as we approach the next game. It is clear all of us must up our game and more importantly work as a team from now onwards to firstly get a result against ITE tomorrow and of course in SUNIG.
Lastly and regretfully, Coach has mentioned he doesnt need all players 4 the match tomorrow so not all players who turn up will get to play. Please also note that this would be the last chance for some players to stay in the team as there would be another squad cut on 2nd September. Lets give our best tomorrow!
