Points for Reflection

guys, im reposting what 2 players commented on the tagboard for easier reading, because i feel strongly for these views, and have shared with several players personally.

aik, "i'm sorry to say but guys...really...sometimes...after a game which u all did not do well..PLS..have the balls to tell each other what they did wrong dun keep saying it wasn't that bad and give urself and the team some excuses for not doing well.cos as far as i can see..since quite some time ago..

when u all lose games and stuff..u all will always give reasons and excuses...and i really dun agree with all that. if u have to **** each other to wake each other's idea up..its probably better to do so than to keep saying some nice consoling things then everyone will have this false sense of security that the lousy perf they have been playing is alright and everything else is jus pure bad luck

if nobodys gonna do it then i shall do it...you all play way too lousy then u all are supposed to. I dunno how but either u all give 500% improvement in the next game against nus or risk getting ur butt kicked.Drawing against the supposedly 2 'weaker' teams is not something to be proud of so i hope all u prove me wrong in the next game.if not then maybe its time to wake each other up the right way...and the right way is not by giving excuses"

shahril, "guys...we have almost a week to work on things....both as a team in terms of team play n as individuals(fitness)....God has given us the perfect showpiece to prove our worth...what aik leong said is kinda true...i personally feel each n every one can do better...my grandma passed away on monday morning, yet i trained on that very night rushin down after the burial coz i wanted to play n win badly on wed...

i got a nasty kick...i stil wanted to play...nt saying dat i was e onli one giving my best or asking for sympathy but reali we all noe we hav not played to our best...now's e time...let's not pressure ourselves n try to play our game this saturday...iron out the faults"

i hope everyone will pause and reflect for a moment on our own commitment and performance...and let's march on from here. see you on the field.
