Injury list
Okie guys, please do this by leaving a comment:
For coach to select the IVP squad, we need to know who is injured, and out for how long. If you're not fully fit and cannot give 100% to the team, you are jeopardizing not only yourself, but also the whole team and the person that could have taken your place, so please be honest.
It doesn't mean if you cannot recover by 6th Jan, you won't make the squad. Coach will also take injured players on board to play the later games.
So be honest!

Lineup for Friday
Guys,
As mentioned, training attendance and morale have been good. for those who have been coming regular, kudos to that. squad places are still up for grabs, as Coach mentioned no one's spot is secured, and performance & form close to IVP is absolutely vital. as Mr. Chiang mentioned, its up to you whether you want to fight for the top 30, top 22, top 16 or first team place. for the newer players, do continue to come regularly. your efforts and commitment will surely show, and the time will come for new blood to take over the helm.
For those who hasn't realize, IVP is less than 3 weeks away (taking into account the holiday festivities) there really issn't much time for hardcore preparations. keep up your own fitness, especially if you are injured or can't make it for trainings. be it gym work or running sessions. harold korkor will be the first to remind you how poor our fitness was during Sunig. it will show in the match, and it will be ugly.

1 – change to M-size
2 – let them get from retailers. Discount will be less. According to him it'll be about 20% which means it'll cost about $22.40
Perhaps we can all share the cost.. its just half a dollar more per person.. Pls leave a comment

midpoint!
half way through exams guys, endure...a quote to share, "it's not how you begin the race that matters, but how you end it."
the tribe has spoken, it should be light blue for our jersey, pending availability. below are pics of the sample. it's available for trying at fuhang's room. pls knock before entering, might stumble into....
and in the midst of studying, don't forget your fitness training. aerobic + anaerobic = healthy body = healthy mind(empirically proven)*. it will show when training commences again how everyone has kept up with our own training. if possible sneak in some soccer here and there too. date of training restart will be announced soon, stay tuned. cheers!
*superior fitness will be expected from players who have already finished exams, i.e. nie students :)

Jersey number and sizes
Here's the info I have so far:
Diyar - 14 size L
Ken - 15 size XL
Feroz - 6 size XL
Zul - 10 size M
Winston - 9 size L
Siu Kwok - 37 size XL
Jin - 16 size S
Harold - 23 size M
Wei Hao - 5 size M
Kester - 11 size L
The following people please give me your size
Gary - 7
Disputed number:
Number 8 - Alvin and Fuhang pls settle with each other
*numbers are subject to changes
Mr Chiang has stated that it'll be a max of 30 in the squad (only 20 or 22 will be in for IVP) and all those in this 30 man squad will get the two kits issued by SRC.
We'll be getting our own shirts (which we'll need to pay for), on top of those we're getting from SRC (which are free and ugly). Shirt numbers will be same for both sets.
For the SRC issued shirts, pls do try out the sizes cos they're pretty weird. The sizing for the ones we're getting on our own will be settled later, when we have the samples.
Please let me know your shirt numbers and/or sizes if you haven't done so (drop a comment).

jersey
hi all, well done on our 3 consecutive wins to end this phase of the season. some good plays, some good finishes, an even a nice own goal....but still work to be done b4 we are ready for our tuff ivp group, so i realli hope everyone maintain personal training k...2 weeks of doin nothing is enuff to make u lose 2 mths of hard work
...anyway im thinking for those who can afford abit of time, u can attend a couple of AUG training during nex few weeks. tentatively wed/sat, check sunigsoccer.blogspot.com for updates. inserting 1 or 2 proper training sessions during the break could go a long way to help reducing the drop in fitness =)
next thing i wanna mention is regarding our jerseys. we will be getting jerseys fr src...mr chiang showed some of us juz now...its the same as the blue ntu jersey (i dunno abt u but i hate it!) but diff color...and the cutting is abit weird, according to those who tried just now...
me and a few of the players were considering the idea of us getting an extra jersey on our own...it'll mean forking out our own $ but we'll have a nice jersey for ivp (we can get the template n put ntu logo)
does anyone have any objections or are in dire financial straits? we will try to get a decent deal and not some flashy $60 nike top la
do feedback in the comments section (dun flood tagboard)
good luck for exams....and b4 anyone shoots me for being a slack nie student - yes i have exams too =)

Important points to note.
Hey guys,
This post is regarding the recent dip in attendance during training sessions. This has been a perennial problem and it has become rather tiresome to comment on.
Coach has some pointers for everyone:
1) Players in the recent Sunig squad, and those training with us prior to Sunig, are considered part of the NTU squad. Current training dates are only on Mondays and Fridays, and he expects full attendance on both days. If you don't think you can commit, or do not wish to continue training with us, please let it be known. If you choose to continue to be with the team, passion and commitment are both expected from you. (All players not in the current squad are welcomed to join us for trainings during this period)
2) In future, if you are unable to make it for training, inform through the blog stating your reason and your name(or some recognizable nick), or inform either Jin, Aaron or Weihao. If you are injured, you are still required to be down during training times for a light jog or gym training. This will be enforced through attendance taking, and Coach will monitor it closely: how many times you are missing with valid/invalid reasons.
3) Due to the combined uni training on wed and sat, trainings are now only twice a week. Our fitness level is evident through our Sunig games with the highest cramp rate among all 4 unis. Once again, you are expected to keep up your own fitness through jogging or gym work on other non-training days. You are encouraged to conduct such sessions with fellow teammates, for mutual encouragement and teambonding.
4) Lastly, as interhall games are coming up again, Coach has reiterated that your priorities should be clear: whether you want to play at the highest level representing NTU, or interhall games. you can still play for your hall, but this is referring to situations where trainings clash, or possible fatigue or injury from hall stuff. Exams are also nearing, do catch up on your work during non-training days, and we will have our usual break before the exams for you to have sufficient preparation time.
We have ended our Sunig on a high note, and let's carry on from here to up our game for IVP. Next week will be training on Monday and probably a friendly on Friday. In future we will be wearing Blue on Mondays and Red on Fridays. Do comment in the "Comment" function below to acknowledge this post. See you on Monday!
Cheers.

Cheers.

Season resumes...
Now that Sunig is over and we've had our short break, our focus will shift to President's Cup. Bear in mind, President's Cup is a much higher level than Sunig and we will face much stronger opposition than we did in Sunig. This means we have to start working hard from now. In other words, cut out all that late coming and not turning up for training with no good reason nonsense. If we don't start off working hard, we never will.
President's Cup is the main competition and we only do well for a season if we do well for it, no matter how we do for Sunig. From now, everyone starts on clean slate. Whoever was or wasn't in the Sunig squad, you'll all have to fight for your place in the President's Cup squad.
Time to learn from the mistakes made from Sunig. We have to start training with a purpose in mind, we cannot keep going through the motions and just train for the sake of it. I've seen us play much better football than we did in Sunig so let's work hard to get back to that level. May we have a better showing for friday's training.

Training break this week
Guys, there wont be training or match this friday.. The opponents couldnt make it again.. So coach has given us a break this friday.. We will start training again from Monday 6th October onwards again..
I need replies for this. We are proposing to train on every Monday and Friday. This is due to the combined uni boys having training on Wednesday as well as Saturday. I need to know who is against this training schedule but i think it should be alright. Combined uni boys, please note that it is your responsibility to turn up for the trainings, while those training only with NTU, two trainings is not much at all so you all better be there for both trainings. We all need to work hard and it starts from the beginning.. We have a psychological advantage going into this year's IVP against NUS and the other teams. We are certainly capable of producing the results this year with the squad we have.

Points for Reflection
guys, im reposting what 2 players commented on the tagboard for easier reading, because i feel strongly for these views, and have shared with several players personally.
aik, "i'm sorry to say but guys...really...sometimes...after a game which u all did not do well..PLS..have the balls to tell each other what they did wrong dun keep saying it wasn't that bad and give urself and the team some excuses for not doing well.cos as far as i can see..since quite some time ago..
when u all lose games and stuff..u all will always give reasons and excuses...and i really dun agree with all that. if u have to **** each other to wake each other's idea up..its probably better to do so than to keep saying some nice consoling things then everyone will have this false sense of security that the lousy perf they have been playing is alright and everything else is jus pure bad luck
if nobodys gonna do it then i shall do it...you all play way too lousy then u all are supposed to. I dunno how but either u all give 500% improvement in the next game against nus or risk getting ur butt kicked.Drawing against the supposedly 2 'weaker' teams is not something to be proud of so i hope all u prove me wrong in the next game.if not then maybe its time to wake each other up the right way...and the right way is not by giving excuses"
shahril, "guys...we have almost a week to work on things....both as a team in terms of team play n as individuals(fitness)....God has given us the perfect showpiece to prove our worth...what aik leong said is kinda true...i personally feel each n every one can do better...my grandma passed away on monday morning, yet i trained on that very night rushin down after the burial coz i wanted to play n win badly on wed...
i got a nasty kick...i stil wanted to play...nt saying dat i was e onli one giving my best or asking for sympathy but reali we all noe we hav not played to our best...now's e time...let's not pressure ourselves n try to play our game this saturday...iron out the faults"
i hope everyone will pause and reflect for a moment on our own commitment and performance...and let's march on from here. see you on the field.

Captain's Call
Yet again, we failed to produce the results that we wanted. 2 draws in 2 games. It is likely that we have nothing to play for in SUNIG 2008. Winning the last game is most probably still not be good enough to win to be crowned champions. But we play for pride. On paper, NUS is the better team, but seriously we can match them.
Whats at stake: We havent won NUS in competition proper for a long time already. This is the chance to do it on our home ground.
From SUNIG 2008 results, we havent played badly at all. We havent had a win, yet we havent lost a game. Guys, i want the team to be able to end SUNIG 2008 on a high note. The results for the last game do not matter to me. I wanna see us putting in a good performance for the last game, like we have put in decent performances for the last two games (only failed to come away with wins). I want SUNIG 2008 to be a memorable experience for the NTU team (every player in the squad), that even if we dont be champions, we fought each game with the NTU spirit. Then we say that we play for each other in the team and that is what i want to see from our team. So let us be able to end on a high.
I hope that all players will come down for training. Guys, we need to work together as a unit, thats what the NTU soccer team is all about. Thus, more players will have to come down for training. We only have 3 trainings and 1 friendly match plus the big match. Can we put in the efforts and be committed so that we can produce the results for our last match?
Guys, i need to know the numbers for saturday's friendly match, so please let me know who can and cannot make it so that we have enough in numbers for the match.
Somethings to take away from today's match:
1. Our fitness definitely SUCKS. We lack the conditioning that enables us to play at a high tempo. Our drop in fitness level certainly affected our results too in some way. We need to do something about it to bring the average team fitness to a decent level!!! You guys must be responsible enough to do your own conditioning and trainings if you lack the trainings.
2. We may have stressed ourselves too much in the previous games in wanting to get the wins, which may not have allowed us to play our decent football. We pressure ourselves too much and in the end we cant play smart or thinking football. So lets go out and enjoy the game!! And the results will come.

Post-match talk
Lets put this result aside and look forward to the next two games. On a day when the better team did not deliver the results when expected to, that may have probably demoralize us abit. Yes we were expected to win comfortably, with the talent in the squad that we have compared against the opponents, yet we failed.
However, guys, we did not play badly at all. We dominated the first half, had more than 15 attempts at goal, only that the ball did not cross the line. The first half seemed like a comedy of misses. Maybe the second half we did not play as well, which included several people having cramps, which probably disrupted our play. However, we did not lose, neither did we concede a goal. Our opponents did not even come close to force Kevin to make a good save.
Maybe here are some points to note from the game:
1. We should pace ourselves over the 90 minutes of the game. Yes we are eager to find that first goal, but we should learn to be patient and wait for that opportunity. It will come.
2. Our average team fitness level is below our standard, and we have to work alot on that aspect if we want to do well. The current level is way below our average standard for last two years and this is something that is lacking.
3. We must learn to vary our game play. Some say it is too predictable. Also, We must learn to hold on to the ball, string around a few passes in our build up in our attack. No need to rush. Therefore, our decision-making must improve.
4. We need more communication on the field, everyone should talk on the field.
5. We should encourage each other to keep going, have the hunger to find the net. And where is our hunger on the field? We always get told that our facial expressions before the match show that we do not come prepared and lack the desire to play. Lets change that attitude.
Guys, in my opinion, i myself am not demoralized by this result. To me, I only viewed this game as a gauge to see if we can put in the goals. But doesnt mean that we just cannot score. It is the next two games where we want to put our performances in. So be it that our last match ended 0-0. SMU and NUS are considerably much better teams and we want to play well against. So i challenge the team to rise to the occasion for the matches. No one is a benchwarmer, every player in the SUNIG team has a part to play. It is the mental toughness in us that will take us through our matches. I wanna see some clear and fresh minds from now on, not the demoralized faces you carry still carry around. So heads up!
Anyone feel free to add on or post comments, we are welcomed to hear your views.
Cheers,
Aaron

SUNIG: NTU 0-0 SIM
Everyone knows how wrong the above scoreline looks. The way SIM celebrated after the match as if they won shows how poor this result is. We're all mature enough to know what we need to do. This is a test of character for the team so stand up and be counted. The best teams are the ones that are able to recover from setbacks.

Countdown 7 days.
well said by harold...actually its a rather prevalent problem since last year, starting off slowly/poorly and getting better as the match progresses... other than getting into the right psyche and mindset, individually and as a team... think doing quick passing and maybe small possession game to get the engines rolling, we started doing this last year before friendlies...this gotta consult coach...
other than that... wanna say yes, its only 7 days away from our first Sunig match, for those who hasn't realized.. there's only this much that coach, dr swarup, and the team can do for you... the rest is up to the individual to prepare, both physically and psychologically... diyar went for a light jog alone at midnight before our last friendly... some others went for gym sessions alone to keep themselves toned... so please this is the last burst, watch your own diet, do 1000 crunches every night to get rid of that tummy, or whatever is necessary so when you're summoned on the field... you don't let yourself and the team down.
see you at training guys!

post-match ramble...
guys pardon me as i rant n nag like an old man (which of coz i m not....err ya...)
tink just now even if we had scored a winning goal, many of us would still b xian after that lousy performance
tink there are alot of reasons y we played badly today. some are legitimate eg long day at sch...but many others are not...tink coach and the capts have/will highlight the other stuff and individually we will reflect on our own mistakes too, but i feel theres one issue we should bring up......
...namely, the way we prepared for the match...now we all noe a good warm-up is essential to being ready for a match...this is something we definitely can control, so we shld always be serious and do a gd warm-up rite?but today so many of us were the opposite and im sure it contributed to our poor start. maybe coach not being there was a factor but lets be fair, he has to rush fr work...n we are not some small kids that need to be reminded about things all the time. we must be responsible for this sorta thing...not say cannot talk cock or joke during the warm-up but the general mood, body language, demeanour today really can be improved la...
now honestly, im not worried at all about the long term effects of today, 1 bad performance does not negate the good stuff we have done in recent matches and trainings, so we should keep our heads up. in fact sometimes a poor performance spurs a team to even greater heights. but let's really make a point to not have another match that is, like coach said, totally wasted...
cant wait for the nex match we play where im sure we will all show that today was nothing more than a unfortunate footnote in our journey to success in sunig =)
tink just now even if we had scored a winning goal, many of us would still b xian after that lousy performance
tink there are alot of reasons y we played badly today. some are legitimate eg long day at sch...but many others are not...tink coach and the capts have/will highlight the other stuff and individually we will reflect on our own mistakes too, but i feel theres one issue we should bring up......
...namely, the way we prepared for the match...now we all noe a good warm-up is essential to being ready for a match...this is something we definitely can control, so we shld always be serious and do a gd warm-up rite?but today so many of us were the opposite and im sure it contributed to our poor start. maybe coach not being there was a factor but lets be fair, he has to rush fr work...n we are not some small kids that need to be reminded about things all the time. we must be responsible for this sorta thing...not say cannot talk cock or joke during the warm-up but the general mood, body language, demeanour today really can be improved la...
now honestly, im not worried at all about the long term effects of today, 1 bad performance does not negate the good stuff we have done in recent matches and trainings, so we should keep our heads up. in fact sometimes a poor performance spurs a team to even greater heights. but let's really make a point to not have another match that is, like coach said, totally wasted...
cant wait for the nex match we play where im sure we will all show that today was nothing more than a unfortunate footnote in our journey to success in sunig =)

Post match for match vs Singapore U-17
Fellas, after the post match lecture from the coach, the team morale could be at its lowest since we started training together. Let's not hide the fact that we played poorly, and did not look quite like a team preparing for a tournament.
However, there were flashes of good play, and the important thing is that we know we can do better than this. This loss could end up being a good thing, depending on how we react to it. We have another week and half to get things right so keep your chin up and keep working hard. If we work hard enough and stay focused we'll be fine. Heads up!

Well done fellas!
NTU 3 - 2 NUS, goals from Kester, Khai and Diyar
Though it wasn't quite a proper match, with 3 thirds, new players and what not, it was still a very good result. We've had a poor record against NUS recently but this hopefully is the turning point for us. We're 3 weeks from SUNIG so keep up the good work fellas!

first friendly game
Score: SMU 1 NTU 4
A new beginning, a new start for a fresh and enthusiastic squad of players ready to take up the challenge of achieving honours for NTU. 1 Aug 2008 is a milestone as it is our first official friendly game after that horrendous 2-2 preseason friendly match with the combined university team where highly rated young goalkeeper Hu Tianci made 2 grave howlers which allowed the combined university team to draw against NTU.
Nonetheless, the NTU players limbered up on a slightly hard but generally playable surface at the Kallang practice track, which is where SMU hold its training sessions. The 2 months of hardwork put in by the NTU players under the watchful eyes of coach Wee Kiat and fitness and conditioning coach Dr 'Fitnesspus' Swarup, whose regimes have shown tremendous improvements in the fitness levels of players who were previously fat and slow like Winston, were evident right from the word go as SMU was pressed mainly in its own half and NTU stroking the ball around confidently.
The goal was to come sooner or later. Our specialist long thrower Aaron threw 1 of his accurate laser throws straight into the penalty box and Kester, showing off all his predatory instincts, flicked the ball up and volleyed it into the far corner of the net which gave the SMU keeper absolutely no chance at all. 1-0 NTU!
NTU continued to piled on the pressure while SMU was reduced to moves which barely resulted in any penetrative move. The NTU defence look assured all night long, with centre back Aaron and the ever-strong Weihao repeling everything thrown at them, be it on ground or aerial. Left back and captain Jin also gave a capable performance as he more or less snuffed out the threat form the right. Goalkeeper Tianci also seems relaxed right at this point, feeling confident that nothing can beat him on this night. End of first period, NTU 1 SMU 0
The 2nd period began with SMU making more purposeful attacks. And in this 1 instance, NTU was beaten. A laser-glided through ball released SMU's Indian right winger, Raj(the guy with the turban unsure of his name), down the right and he sent in a wonderfully flighted ball with speed right onto the head of Pramod , who headed the ball in and wheeled away in celebration of scoring against this highly rated defence. On hindsight, perhaps keeper and defender Weihao could have done more to prevent this goal, but nonetheless, kudos to the SMU lads for putting up such a good move. And so, it was tied at 1-1.
However, SMU's happiness was not to last for long. Al Jufri, who was putting in a mesmerising display in midfield, delivered a killer cross right into the SMU penalty area which caused panic among the defence and 1 of the defenders inevitably headed the ball past his own goalkeeper, who got a slight touch to it. And with this, NTU regained the lead.
NTU pulled further away from SMU when an absolutely wonderful team move involving Diyar, who later earned praises from coach Wee Kiat, the bulky, unfit but still effective Gary and Alvin 'who goes past me i will chop you down' Yeo combined to put in a wonderful through ball to Khai, and without disappointing his many fans, fired in a stupendous shot which the keeper can only parry into the path of Harold, who shows that while he may be old and slower, experience counts as he is in the right place at the right time to tuck the ball in. GOAL!
At the end of the 2nd period, it was NTU 3 SMU 1.
In the 3rd period, NTU continued its good work and the 4th goal was to come in no time. Harold, again showing flashes of play that defies his age, produced good work down the left flank and sent in a dangerous cross which the SMU keeper did not deal with properly and can only deflect the ball into the path of NTU's big dick striker Winston which improvised with an audacious backheel to seal the final nail on SMU's coffin. And that it is,
Final score: NTU 4 SMU 1
NTU team: Tianci, Aaron, Weihao, Jin, Nadeem, Alvin, Jufri, Weixiang, Feroz, Kheng Tiong, Yussof, Gary, Jerrard, Harold, Khai, Winston, Diyar, Kester.
p.S there was a moment in the 3rd period when young shot stopper Hu Tianci prevented Alvin's wayward back header from going out. He showed great speed, awareness and not forgetting effort in trying to keep the ball from going out for a goal kick. However, knowing that the bench is fast falling asleep, he decided to dive for the ball before rolling on his back out for a corner, producing some much needed entertainment for the spectators and substitutes.

Update on Training
Brothers-in-arms,
here's an update from monday's training.
1) next training will be at NTU, on thursday 630pm. this is due to the combined uni having a friendly match at bishan stadium on thursday.
2) there was a beep test conducted on monday, and there will be other tests conducted again possibly once school reopens. so for those who missed it, do upkeep your own personal fitness and health for these tests. those who took the test yesterday, lets take it as a reminder for ourselves of the uphill fitness task, and set ourselves personal goals and objectives to better our fitness in the upcoming tests.
3) a compulsory fitness regime of 4 reps of 2.4km (each under 10mins), with a break of about 5-10mins in between, is to be conducted at your own time. it is recommended on tuesdays or fridays, after our trainings, so that the momentum is carried forward from the previous day. all personnel are highly encouraged to conduct this fitness regime, or something similar to it, as our fitness will ultimately be evident if we don't put in the effort on our part.
cheers and see you on thursday.

Training Proposal for June
Hey guys,
Mr Chiang has suggested a training schedule for June. Monday's training will still be on going. Wednesday's training is cancelled. Instead, the boys will be asked to join the combined uni training at NUS on Thursday at 7pm and coach We Keat will be there too.
So proposed training schedule for next few weeks:
Monday - @ NTU 630pm
Thursday - @ NUS 7pm(together with the combined uni boys)
In other words, the NTU combined uni boys will train 3 times a week while those not involved in combined uni will still get to train twice a week.
Please feel free to put up your suggestions in the tag board.
Cheers!

Commitment
Hi guys
would like to say a few things. as you all know NTU has commenced training on Mondays and Wednesdays. In addition, the AUG players are also training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a match on Saturdays. Not mentioning the extra lessons, EID, internships, parttime work that some of us are having.
what i want to highlight is that, at the end of the day you are not only responsible to the team, but more importantly answerable to yourself. if you decide to join the team, you have to make sacrifices. this means watching your diet, doing your own fitness training, going for as many trainings as you can, etc.
if you really have work and end too late, go for runs on your own to keep your fitness level up. attend other trainings or social soccer to improve yourself. if you are in AUG and feel that there are too many trainings and you are feeling burned out, take a break and miss a training. Coach and Mr Chiang have already mentioned they understand the situation the AUG players are in.
ultimately, what we want to do (other than AUG) is to represent NTU in SUNIG and IVP. SUNIG is in about 2 months+ time (around end aug, early sep), and it is important that everyone of us start playing regularly and improving ourselves in order to defend our 'trophy'. whether we want to get into the final SUNIG squad, and how well we want to play, all depends on ourselves. before we can build up our team play, we have to improve our individual level. so i urge everyone to step up our commitment, and take charge of our own path, whatever circumstance you are in.
see you on the field.
would like to say a few things. as you all know NTU has commenced training on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Training cancelled for monday 2nd June
Fellas,
Apologies for pushing back our resumption of training. With National pride at stake, I think our bodies may be in NTU but our hearts and minds are with the National Team. So instead of training, let's all go watch Singapore take on Uzbekistan at Kallang National Stadium, 1930pm. I've put Aaron to be in charge of this team outing. Wear red!!!

Post match against Jinan University/Training programme
Score: 2-1 win
Scorers: Kester, Khai(Pen)
Positives:
-It's good that we got a win, let's make it a habit
-We showed flashes of very good passing play
Negatives:
-The flashes of good play were few and far between, giving away the ball too easily
-The goal resulted from the defence over-playing the ball
-The forward line needs to provide better passing options by movement, e.g. come short or run forward into space.
I think what would be really good for us is to know when to play the killer pass out of defence, i.e. as we draw the opposition out and create openings:
1. the defenders can spot our attackers runs
2. our attackers make those runs and call for the ball
Training notice:
We'll take a break on friday 23rd May, as for the subsequent programme pls cast your votes for the "Training Programme" poll.

Post match against NTU Oldies
Hello fellas,
From now on we'll have post match discussions using the tagboard. I'll get the ball rolling.
Performance wise I thought it was decent enough for a first match. There were flashes of good play here and there. The game was pretty even but the scoreline flattered them. We gave away soft goals and had crap refereeing decisions against us. Hard luck but remember you make your own luck as well. Hopefully we'll gel as a team really soon and results will go our way.

Looking for liaison officers / match cancellation
Hello fellas,
1. I need volunteers for liaison officers for Jinan Uni visit. Preferably hall staying people. Don't worry you don't have to follow them everywhere, just orientate them a bit (where to find food, how to get in/out of NTU), and attend to them if they need your help. They'll be here from 18th to 23rd May, staying at hall 3 and hall 16. Please help out if you are free.
2. Match against Kaki Bukit has been cancelled so it will be training at 1830 on wednesday 14th may.

Greetings
Hey guys, this will officially become our unofficial form of communications. We will post training dates, details, match reports, poll opinions, etc. The onus will be on every individual to participate, post comments/shoutouts and check this site regularly especially for latest training/match timings and updates(you can use the week/month/or agenda view for the calendar pretty neat)
This week officially marks the start of our 08/09 soccer season, may we strive to better last year's results(for those who just joined us): 1st in Singapore Uni Games(SUNIG) and 5th in IVP. A couple of senior players have left us, but this also open the doors to a new and exciting breed of players and i eagerly anticipate the upcoming training sessions and matches! wooohoo!
