As training today (17.08.10) was cancelled due to bad weather, we will train this thursday (19.08.10). Bring both boots and shoes. Wear Red. Combined uni players please note that there is comb uni training at NUS on thursday. Thanks.
Apologies again for the late sms for the cancellation of training yesterday. However, I want to address one point, if you are unhappy with ways certain things are done be it football related or otherwise, please feel free to approach anyone of us (Feroz, Kennard, Darren or even Coach) to voice your grievances. Do not resort to childish anonymous post on our blog. It would really not help our team spirit and would do more harm than good. Therefore, we wish to keep the blog solely for the relaying of information for anything associated with NTU soccer and not unnecessary stuffz. Hope you guys get my point. Thanks.

IMPORTANT UPDATES
FRIENDLY MATCH WITH SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC – 30 JULY 2010
7PM NTU MAIN PITCH
WEAR RED TOP (Black Shorts and Socks).
Be there by 6.20pm. Those that cannot make it or will be late, please post at the blog or text me.
There will be a Friendly match with Singapore Polytechnic this Friday instead of training. This would be a good opportunity for Coach and Team Manager to look at our team again. All players that have been training in the squad are strongly encouraged to turn up. As announced previously, we will be trimming the squad again this Friday and announcing the 2nd training squad list at the end of the match. However, please take note that not all players will be guaranteed playing time hence we seek your kind understanding on this. It is up to the players especially the new trainees to be present in order to have an opportunity to be called upon by Coach if needed.
For new trainees that have been with us for the past few sessions, please be reminded to submit your profile form by this Friday too for our records. Please also be reminded that players in the formal squad list with poor attendance records (less than 75%)and without providing valid reasons are risking their selection chances. Coach and Darren has spoken to quite a few players personally on this matter. As reiterated before, commitment to the team is paramount in order to be fair to everyone.
TRAINING SESSIONS FOR 1ST WEEK OF AUGUST
Fortunately, trainings for first week of August have been secured at NTU pitch.

Updates
Note: Training will be on friday (23 July) not thursday this week. Wear Red.
IMPORTANT
Coach has informed me yesterday that he is planning to do the 2nd round of squad trimming at the end of this month. The squad would be trimmed to 22 players, however, as you might already know, this would not be the final SUNIG team. There would be one last round of trimming when the new boys join us when school reopens. The reason why coach has decided to do this squad trimming so soon after the first cut is due to the unavailability of field for trainings in the month of August(I'm sure you know why). As such, we will be playing mostly friendly games and therefore it would not be ideal if there are close to 30 players coming for the friendlies. We seek your understanding here.
I hope this heads up gives all of us an oppourtunity to mentally prepare ourselves. Therefore, I urge all of you to attend all the remaining training sessions for July as this would be the last chance for us to prove our quality to coach. Thanks.
IMPORTANT
Those who want to represent Singapore for Asean University Games in December this year, pls post on the COMMENTS section(Pls do not text me) the following:
Name:
Matric No:
School/Course:
Date of last paper:
Basically, AUG would be held from 14-23 Dec. If your exams end later than 14 dec,it is unlikely you would be able to go but you can still write to your own school to discuss the feasibility of you going to AUG. Official letter stating your representation would be available upon request. Also to add, to be considered for AUG , the level of commitment expected of you would be very much higher as players would be required to juggle NTU trgs and AUG trgs and of course schoolwork.
