Jollilads Update

Combined University / Jollilads Arsenal Trials

Hey peeps...the trials for the combined uni team is listed below. Pls reply in the comments section or sms me if you are keen and your availabilty on the trial dates by SUNDAY,21.02.2010, 7PM.

Here's a brief intro if you are clueless about this.

Combined Uni team a.k.a Jollilads Arsenal have been playing in National Football League (NFL) Div 2 for the past few seasons. NFL is the highest standard of amatuer football in Singapore and it's FAS sanctioned. There are 3 divisions with the top 2 and bottom 2 teams being promoted and relegated respectively at the end of the season. The aim of this is to provide university footballers with more exposure and match experience to ultimately increase the standard of university football so as to perform better in IVP. This year, NFL would also be used to prepare the uni players for the coveted Asean Uni Games.

Note that the NFL season will be from April to approximately September this year. Training will be tentatively once a week and game on weekends. (18 games, Home and Away).

For those who want to be considered for AUG @ Chiangmai in December this year, it is recommended that you tryout for the Combined Uni team. Graduating seniors who want to be considered for AUG could also join for the selections (though probably would not play in the NFL)

TRIAL DATES AND DETAILS:

- 24/2 (Wed), 7pm @ NUS (Friendly against NUS) – wear white top and dark shorts/socks

- 27/2 (Sat), tentatively 4pm @ NTU

- 4/3, (Thurs), 7.30pm @ NTU (Friendly)

- 6/3 (Sat), tentatively 4pm @ NTU

I hope to see as much NTU players as possible for the tryouts. The more players in Combined Uni, the better it is for NTU football. Pls reply or sms me if you have any queries. Thanks.
