Closing
hey all.
just thought i would say something after the long silence. i believe everyone is sad, disappointed, or even distraught, after the lost against NYP. this is understandable; we rejoice when we do well, and we are disappointed when we don't. the season might be over for us, but to say that it was a wasted season will be a little far-fetched. realistically speaking, we are not manchester united or other top teams aiming for the title year after year. as tertiary students, with regard to the local soccer scene, i believe we are constrained by other commitments and priorities, which are perfectly fine. i like to look at the season as the year that has just past. one full year of trainings, matches, the joy and laughter, the bickering and tears, the friendships forged on and off the field, the enjoyment we derived from playing the sport we love so much, playing for each other and representing the school. in a way, i was glad to witness the private discussions on tactics and certain decisions, the disappointment of not playing or having little field time, the agony of not playing well and defeats, as these all show how much soccer means to us, and how passionate we are for the sport, and for the team. personally, i'm really very happy to be part of the team this season, the funny personalities, skillful individuals, every player that made trainings and matches so enjoyable. i believe many of you echo my view, and as we approach the match against TP, lets go in and enjoy ourselves, and regardless of the results, we know that it has been a year worth looking back at.

Details for match tmr against NYP
Guys, please be at SRC at 6, and everyone should be on the pitch by 610. Like coach has said, our prematch prep has not been ideal for the past 2 games. People who need more time for their prematch prep, for instance Leslie (dude, coach mentioned your name), please come earlier so that you can be on the pitch when everyone else has.

guys just visited the site shahril recommended and saw this quote...
"...the match-winning goal set SP up in their crucial final group match against National University of Singapore on Monday (19 January) at home to determine who would join group leaders NYP in the knockout stages."
so we have been conveniently overlooked.....
now lets be honest here, we probably deserve to be overlooked...afterall, 1 pt from 2 matches, facing the defending champs and tournament faves...
some of us might feel we are already out, just like the guy writing the article...but here's a little thought...
i cant fault u if u wanna be realistic privately but the way i play football, i dun give up until the maths say im confirm out, so hope everyone just get ur head up 1 more time man
i want everyone to tell urself that thurs we're gonna play a bloody good game...A BLOODY BLOODY GOOD GAME....we've trained for months, if we dun play well enuff again and get eliminated with a whimper, its gonna be that same shitty feeling after the nus match and even worse...
u noe, we all play football for the joy it brings us but i tink past 2 games we havent enjoyed ourselves 1 bit...lets enjoy it this time...we'll have to work damn hard for that though...no pressure cuz the whole world has counted us out...but just for ourselves
just 1 bloody good game on thurs and we see what result it brings us
steady?

Training on 7th Jan
Guys, though we didn't manage to beat SP, it was a good performance. We just need the composure in front of goal. Hard luck to us but let's maintain the good performance. Our arch rivals NUS are up next and how sweet it would be for us to beat them at their home ground. Whatever we do for the next three days, keep the game in mind.
Training will start at 1930 tmr. Wear red...
